COOP Ale Works is a ten-year-old production/packaging craft brewery located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma’s heartbeat and home of a growing craft beer scene. Current distribution includes Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri and North Texas. COOP currently employs one On Premise Sales Representative for Central Oklahoma and seeks a second Sales Representative to assist in this growing market. Our brewery is in a rapid growth phase and expects to continue. As we grow into our upcoming expansion into the 23rd Street Armory building, one of our goals is to continue to build the root structure of our brands, our beers and our reputation as a leading craft brewery. Job Description

The Central Oklahoma On Premise Sales Representative will work with our current area Sales Representative as well as our distribution partner throughout the territory to expand our in-market sales activities for on-premise (bars and restaurants) outlets, to include customer development, customer retention, sales planning, events and product launches.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • 1-week operations immersion with staff at the brewery
  • 2-week sales and events immersion with staff in Oklahoma City
  • Assist Sales & Marketing Director in development and execution of strategic sales plans
  • Day travel throughout the territory
  • Build, maintain and enhance relationships with customers
  • Lead new product launch promotions with distributors and customers
  • Support customer sales staff efforts through event promotions and attendance, point of sale materials development and delivery, co-branding opportunities, etc.
  • Quarterly and annual development of local market business plans
  • Periodic travel to future out-of-state markets to assist with new market launches
  • Periodic attendance of sales and marketing staff meetings
  • Work with marketing staff to develop customer-specific product promotional materials, point of sale materials, event materials, etc.
  • Coordinate, schedule and attend events throughout territory
  • Provide customer service support to customers directly and via distributor
  • Manage database records of potential, current and former customers
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate sales numbers as they relate to budgeted/forecasted sales
  • Pursue, manage and adapt company and personal sales objectives

Candidate Qualifications

Absolute (don’t apply without these)

  • At least two years’ experience in craft beer marketing, sales or hospitality management
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with ability to excel in instances of limited direction
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Dedicated sense of urgency and drive to achieve objectives
  • Ability to succeed in, and contribute to, a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying levels of importance and difficulty
  • Ability to travel to outside markets and industry conferences at least two weeks per year
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • Desire to work hard, play hard and get things done

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least four years’ experience in beer, wine, spirits or food industries
  • Experience managing customer relationships and experiences
  • Draft beer system build and troubleshooting knowledge

COOP is seeking a Taproom Specialist to work in the taproom and assist with back-of-house tasks as needed. As we grow into our upcoming expansion into the Midtown OKC Armory building, one of our goals is to continue to build the root structure of our brands, our beers and our reputation as a leading craft brewery. Job Description

The Taproom Specialist will assist in opening and closing the taproom, ensuring tapped beers meet quality expectations, create menu boards, ensure guests’ needs are met, assist during special events, maintain inventory and help educate guests on beer while serving them. The specialist may assist the Taproom Manager in production of specialty or taproom exclusive beers, as well as the back of house production staff with various back of house duties as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Opening and Closing the Taproom

  • Prep and tap kegs and backup kegs in refrigerated cold room
  • Create menu boards with accurate information related to beers on tap and on deck
  • Clean floors, taps, crowler machine, bar tops and other areas as needed

Taproom Open Hours

  • Monitor customer flow and interactions to ensure safe, fun and positive experiences
  • Educate guests regarding brewery and beer while serving them
  • Monitor and ensure appropriate stock levels of beer, merchandise and glassware during fluctuating travel levels

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist in special events outside of normal taproom hours
  • Assist in scheduling and reserving food trucks, as well as coordinate upon arrival and departure to ensure proper setup and building security
  • Assist in production of specialty and taproom exclusive beers
  • Assist with back of house duties as needed
  • Work to develop processes that increase efficiency, profit and fun

Working Conditions

This position requires an individual who works under a range of circumstances, including: shift work, weekend work, work with challenging patrons, working in a fast-paced environment of a crowded taproom and working within close proximity of an operation brewery (noise, heavy equipment, odors related to the brewing process).

The Taproom Specialist will be required to stand for extended periods of time when overseeing taproom operations and/or serving as bartender. Specialist may also be required to lift boxes 35-60 lb. and move/empty full kegs.
